Hello Christoph. Affiliate website Please introduce yourself to my readers.
Hey Peer! About me: I come from northern Germany, more precisely from Lemwerder and I am 28 years old. I work full-time as an SEO for Traum-Ferienwohnungen.de, one of the largest German platforms for holiday apartments and holiday homes.
In addition, I also deal extensively with online marketing in my private life and run many of my own affiliate projects in various areas.
How did you get into online business and what were your first experiences with your own websites?
I started online business almost exactly 10 years ago with my first website Gutschein-Welt.com ( archive ). At the time, I had no idea about online marketing, SEO and programming. I was very focused on the existing websites and tried to understand how they worked and then do it better myself.
Little by little, I discovered the whole subject of SEO for myself. After the first year, the project brought me around 1,000 euros a month, which was a lot of money for me at the time. One day, I got a good offer and decided to sell the site. I then started a similar project with Dealblog.de ( archive ), which was a bit more oriented towards bargains. Due to the relatively large editorial effort, I then decided to sell the project here too.
Then, almost exactly 2 years ago, I decided senegal cell phone number list to switch to Traum-Ferienwohnungen.de, one of the largest German platforms for holiday homes. After initially only taking care of search engine optimization, we have now integrated our online marketing team into the product, which has expanded my responsibilities to include areas such as conversion optimization and UX.
About a year ago, I launched a completely niche portal on the subject of gin. It is mainly about tasting reports, cocktail recipes and bar accessories. The site is now one of the largest websites on this subject, with over 100,000 visitors a month.
What mistakes did you make at the beginning and what did you learn from them?
I think one of my biggest mistakes or weaknesses was my crm platform from insightly, founded in 2009 in perth lack of perseverance. Looking back, I think some of the websites and projects would still be around today if I hadn’t lost interest back then.
What I learned from this is that you should never give up, even in times when you aren’t making much progress with a project. Perseverance and hard work always pay off.
How important is motivation and perseverance for you and how do you maintain both?
Both points are extremely important to me. Basically, I can motivate myself mainly through success. So if a project is successful, it motivates me to put even more work and energy into it.
Sometimes it’s good to just leave a project for 2-3 weeks. Personally, I argentina numbers sometimes have phases where I just don’t feel like working on a project/topic. Then it helps me to just step back and focus on other things.
I also find it extremely motivating to exchange ideas with other affiliates and people in the same environment and to come up with ideas together. Simply talk about the matter and then put the ideas into practice the next day.
